The work of healing is deeply relational. So is the work of becoming a better therapist.

A Collaborative Space to Deepen your EMDR Practice

Learning EMDR can feel overwhelming at first. There is a lot of information to absorb, and moving from training into actually using EMDR with clients can bring uncertainty, questions and sometimes anxiety about whether you're “doing it right.”

EMDR may look straightforward on paper, but clinical practice is often much more nuanced, especially when working with complex trauma, attachment wounds, dissociation, and protective parts.

I provide consultation for EMDR-trained clinicians who want a supportive space to ask questions, strengthen their understanding of EMDR therapy, deepen their case conceptualization skills, and develop greater confidence in their clinical work.

As an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist™ and EMDRIA Approved Consultant™, my approach to consultation is collaborative, curious, and grounded in the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model. I believe consultation should be a space where clinicians can bring questions, uncertainty, challenging cases, and the moments when EMDR doesn't seem to be moving the way they expected.

My clinical work is primarily with adults experiencing complex and developmental trauma, attachment wounds, dissociation, emotional neglect, and other longstanding relational trauma. I also specialize in EMDR Intensives and extended-session EMDR, including concentrated and multi-day intensive work.

These experiences inform the way I approach consultation, with particular attention to case conceptualization, preparation, pacing, nervous system capacity, protective responses, target sequencing, and readiness for reprocessing.

Areas we may explore

Consultation may include:

  • EMDR case conceptualization through an AIP lens
  • Target identification and sequencing
  • Preparation and resourcing for complex trauma
  • Structural Dissociation and parts-informed EMDR
  • Dissociation and protective responses
  • Attachment and developmental trauma
  • Blocks, looping, and challenges during reprocessing
  • Nervous system activation, shutdown, and capacity
  • Clinical decision-making around pacing and readiness
  • EMDR Intensives, extended-session work and considerations unique to concentrated trauma work
  • Case conceptualization, preparation, pacing, and target sequencing for intensive EMDR
  • Integrating EMDR into your existing therapeutic approach
  • Developing greater confidence and flexibility with the eight-phase model

MY APPROACH TO CONSULTATION

I don't believe good EMDR therapy is about perfectly following a script. The eight-phase model provides an important structure, while effective trauma treatment also requires curiosity, attunement, clinical judgment, and an understanding of the individual sitting in front of us.

My goal in consultation is not simply to tell you what to do next. I want to help you think through your cases, understand what may be happening within the client's system, and strengthen your ability to make thoughtful clinical decisions independently.

There is room to slow down, ask questions, think out loud, and explore what isn't making sense. Consultation should support your development as an EMDR therapist—not make you feel as though there is only one “right” way to practice.

EMDRIA™ Certification & Ongoing Consultation

I provide individual consultation for clinicians working toward EMDRIA™ Certification, consultation-of-consultation for Consultants-in-Training (CITs) working toward EMDRIA Approved Consultant™ status, and ongoing consultation for EMDR-trained therapists seeking support with complex cases, EMDR Intensives, and their broader EMDR practice.
